About the Byline
RateWatt's state, ranking, and trend pages are generated programmatically from EIA data. Pages carry a single organizational byline rather than personal ones: RateWatt itself is accountable for how that data is sourced and computed, and for the methodology, guides and corrections you read here.
- RateWatt
Independent US electricity-rate data portal
RateWatt is an independent data portal covering US electricity rates, built on public data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. State, ranking and trend pages are generated programmatically from that data; the methodology page documents exactly how each figure is derived. RateWatt accepts no payment from the utilities or suppliers it covers.
